“Summer motifs in the works of Andriy Kotska” tomorrow

It has become a tradition for the International Museum Day, to organize in the museum studio of People’s Artist of Ukraine A. Kotska exhibitions of works that are kept in the memorial house-museum of the artist at Vinnychna str., 20 in Uzhgorod.

This year, the exhibition "Summer motifs in the works of A. Kotska" will be presented to the audience. Known and never before exhibited works create a cozy lyrical display in the "inner sanctum" – the workshop where Andriy Kotska was working for many years.

Play of colors, when everything is permeated with light, unexpected cold reflexes on purely summer landscapes, tenderness and lyricism typical for the works, that attract everyone, who has seen summer, bright sunlight – all that is reproduced on canvas by the talent and skill of Andriy Kotska.

Andriy Kotska is a lyrical artist, who slowly explores nature. He was traveling the world and left his impressions to posterity: here is rye surrounded by colorful flowers ("Kholmok", 1983), here are vineyards stretched at the foot of the mountain ("At the vineyard", 1970), and here is already harvested rye with haystacks on the mown field ("Stacks in the field", 1960s). These landscapes, as well as many others, attract with their warmth, simplicity, create the idea of the landscape as a place where people live and work.

The paintings of Andriy Kotska depict a wonderful, joyful world of the nature and the man. Again and again, his works show viewers the wonder of what seems familiar and ordinary. Each encounter with the works of Kotska is a joy for fans of his talent, the opportunity to plunge into the world of Art with a capital letter.

We invite all fans of the maestro’s work to visit the exhibition in the memorial house-museum of People’s Artist of Ukraine Andriy Kotska and honor the memory of the great son of Transcarpathian land.
