On May 12, at 17.30, in the Transcarpathian Art Museum in Uzhgorod, there will be the opening of the exhibition "Museum Collection" of Ukrainian artist, winner of Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine Anatoly Kryvolap. This is the first exhibition of the artist in the regional center of Transcarpathia.
It features more than 20 best works of the artist from private collections, as well as new works. "Art, since the Renaissance, has always been based on collaboration between artists and collectors. Were it not for collectors, the majority of artists, who became famous, would not have been able to work, because it takes money. In the Renaissance, every rich person had a collection because it was prestigious, and so it still is. The exhibition "Museum Collection" is, to some extent, an expression of gratitude to collectors and an attempt to unite them. They can see each other’s collections, present them to a wider audience, and eventually have the Museum of Private Collections" (Anatoly Kryvolap).
