Customs officers of the checkpoint “Solotvyno”, who “missed” dollar smuggling, may be imprisoned for 6 years

As we informed, the son of former head of Tyachiv district state administration tried to smuggle into Europe 400 thousand dollars in the spare wheel of his "Maserati".

The prosecutor’s office initiated criminal proceeding over this incident against officers of the customs post "Solotvyno."

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region.

The customs officers are charged with abuse of power or position, resulting in serious consequences. This article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for 3 to 6 years. The investigation is underway.
