Art contest “Silver Easel” took place in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

From 25 to 29 of April, 2017, the II National painting contest "Silver Easel" was taking place in Uzhgorod. 51 students from 17 art schools of Ukraine took part in it. The contest was organized by the cultural and artistic foundation Brovdi Art.

The contest jury evaluated the participants’ works in three categories: "Urban Landscape", "Portrait" and "Improvisation".

The jury of the contest consisted of famous Ukrainian artists – Anatoliy Kryvolap, Tiberiy Silvashi, academician Andriy Chebykin, famous Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Mykyta, famous art critic Galina Sklyarenko, artists Oleksandr Babak, Petro Hulyn, Vladislav Gabda, Volodymyr Petrashyk, the Rector of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts Ivan Nebesnyk, the Chairman of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of artists of Ukraine Boris Kuzma.

Based on the results of secret ballot by the members of the jury, the winners of the Second National Student Painting Contest "Silver Easel" are:

In the "Urban landscape" category:

First place – Veronica Sirotkina (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture);

Second place – Maxim Hospodynchyk (Transcarpathian Art Academy);

Third place – Katerina Shelevytska (Transcarpathian Art Academy).

In the "Improvisation" category:

First place – Maxim Hospodynchyk (Transcarpathian Art Academy);

Second place – Volodymyr Kohut (Lviv National Academy of Arts);

Third place – Veronica Sirotkina (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture);

In the "Portrait" category:

First place – Maxim Hospodynchyk (Transcarpathian Art Academy);

Second place – Veronica Sirotkina (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture);

Third place – Petro Hrytsiuk (Lviv National Academy of Arts).

Many other participants received special prizes from partners of the contest.

In addition, all participants received from the Dutch company "Royal Talens" sets of oil paints Van Gogh and sets of liners Sakura.

All contestants received certificates of participation and gifts from the contest organizers – the cultural and artistic foundation Brovdi Art. The works by young artists will be published in the catalog of the art project.
