On Wednesday, ambassadors of member countries at the Council of the European Union considered and pre-approved legislative regulations on adding Ukraine to the list of third countries whose nationals are not subject to visa requirements.
This was reported by the Ukrinform citing the information from the EU Council.
The European Parliament adopted the relevant document on April 6.

Next, according to the procedure, the regulations have to be approved by the EU Council at the ministerial level at its meeting scheduled for May 11.
The document must be signed by the President of the European Parliament and a representative of Malta, which currently holds the EU presidency. After the publication, of the decision will take effect in 20 days. It is expected to happen in mid-June.
