The issue of postponing the introduction of the Euro-6 standard on the Ukrainian car market is under the control of the parliament. This was informed by MP Robert Horvat:
"Last week, at the meeting of the Committee for European Integration, they considered my bill 5624 on postponing the "Euro 6" standard environmental requirements for vehicles.
The Committee decided to appeal to the Government Office for European Integration for expert opinion regarding the conformance of the bill to the obligations of Ukraine in the field of European integration.
It should be noted that at my request №272 / 176 of October 20 2016, on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, the Government Office already gave their conclusion that postponing the ecological standard "Euro 6" was in line with the Association Agreement with the EU."
Recall that in March this bill was considered and approved by the Committee on Tax and Customs Policy.
