Canadian composer of Ukrainian origin – Lubomyr Melnyk, known as the fastest pianist in the world, will perform in Uzhgorod for the first time! The concert will take place on September 19 in Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic.
Back in the early 80’s, he developed his own notation and the technique of ultra-fast arpeggios (called "continuous music") and composed numerous pieces using it. Since few people can perform his works, Lubomir performs himself, demonstrating incredible skills.
Melnyk can play 19.5 notes per second with each hand which he uses not just to show off his technique. His music brings the sound of the instrument to a whole new level.
