Mukachevo border guards lined up to donate blood for cancer patients

The campaign for blood donation as part of the project Donor.UA "Donate blood – save life!" is taking place at the Mukachevo border guard detachment. At the invitation of the volunteers from the NGO "Association of young donors of Ukraine" and a large number of officers willing to donate blood, workers of the Transcarpathian regional blood transfusion station came straight to the military unit.

In the morning, many soldiers lined up to donate blood. Tasty buns, warm tea and a good mood created an incredibly nice atmosphere.  Each soldier, who was willing to help our patients in the future, could sign up on the site Donor.UA to receive information about the need for blood online.

– Unfortunately, in our region, there are many children and adults with cancer who require constant blood transfusions. That is why our Association launched a series of free blood donations for these patients, and the soldiers of the Mukachevo border guard detachment contributed to this cause, for which we are very grateful! Such campaigns are very important, because in addition to blood donations, they allow others to reflect on the problem and the need of free voluntary blood donation – the Coordinator of Transcarpathian branch of the NGO "Association of young donors of Ukraine" Marianna Tymsha said.
