As we announced, the containers, where you can leave used things that will be useful to low-income people, are being installed in Uzhgorod. The first of the two containers was installed today near the office of Uzhgorod city organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine – at Zhupanatska sq., 3.
The vandal-proof containers were donated to the city by the company "AVE-Uzhgorod". They are intended for clean used things – clothes, shoes, books, toys. Today, the director of the "AVE-Uzhgorod" Natalia Yakubyk handed the key to the head of Uzhgorod city organization of the Red Cross Valentina Mitrovtsiy as employees of this organization will be sorting the things and giving them to those who need them.
According to Natalia Yakubyk, such containers are the first in Transcarpathia, currently, there are only two of them, but if needed, and it will become clear after some time, they can consider increasing their number. As for the second container, currently they are deciding on the best place of installation.
Valentina Mytrovtsiy said that after the information that such containers would appear in Uzhgorod had been announced, she had received calls from colleagues from Kyiv and other cities asking where the containers can be ordered. As it turned out, in some cities, other charities have such containers, but this is the first such container in Ukraine, which is used by the Red Cross.
