Satellite branch of “artificial kidney” has been opened in Khust

To bring medical care closer to patients with renal insufficiency, another satellite "hemodialysis" branch of the Regional Clinical Hospital has been opened in Transcarpathia – this time in Khust. 

The new branch is located in the reconstructed premises of Khust dental clinic. Repair, furniture and refrigeration equipment was provided at the expense of the local budget, and the "artificial kidney" machines (now there are 4, but the area of ​​the building will allow to increase their number to eight in future) and water supply system was provided by the manufacturers – as charity care.

– Khust was the first city, where the "artificial kidney" was launched in 2007, but in 2014 it was suspended because of problems with the system – H.Moskal said at the opening. – Today, there 15 patients with chronic renal failure in need of replacement therapy in Khust district. The new branch will provide treatment not only to them, but also to some patients from Irshava district. There are 11 people who need it there.

Recall that the satellite hemodialysis centers already operate in Rakhiv, Mizhhirya, Tyachiv, Mukachevo, Vynogradiv.

There are 195 people in need of renal replacement therapy in the region. Overall, Transcarpathian Regional Clinical Hospital has 43 sets of "artificial kidney" from the world’s leading manufacturers.
