The end of March is inextricably linked with theater events, since on March 27 the World Day of Theater is celebrated. In addition, on March 21, the professional holiday of puppeteers is celebrated around the world.
In March, the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theater traditionally has a rich repertoire shcedule, as they celebrate two professional holidays. Therefore, for several years now, on the occasion of the International Day of Puppeteer and the International Day of Theatre, Transcarpathian puppeteers organize the "Theater Week."
This time, events and celebrations will take place from 19 to 26 of March. During the week, lovers of the puppet art will be able to see the best productions from the "golden collection" in the theater, namely:
March 19, Sunday, at 11.00 and at 13.00 – "The Tale of the Three Little Pigs" by Laura Lee;
March 21, Tuesday, at 13.00 – "Forest Song" by Lesya Ukrainka;
March 22, Wednesday, at 15.00 – "Forest Song" by Lesya Ukrainka;
March 23, Thursday, at 16.30 – "Horses" by Rada Moskova;
March 24, Friday, at 10.00 and 11.00 – "In our paradise on earth" (Children’s Kobzar) Taras Shevchenko;
March 26, Sunday, at 11.00 and 13.00 – "Pintea, the Rouge" by Oleksandr Havrosh.
Also, during the theater week, young viewers in different cities and villages of the region, will be able to see the premiere of the play "Blue Fox" by Ivan Franko, beloved children’s play "Smile of a Clown" by Yefim Chepovetsky and "Snowmen and the Sun" by Oleg Veselov.
And at the end of the week, March 26, the company of "Bavka" will take part in the grand celebration of the International Day of Theatre in the hall of the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Music and Drama Theatre.
