The members of the criminal group committed more than a dozen burglaries and street robberies in the regional center of Transcarpathia.
Yesterday, March 8, employees of Uzhgorod criminal police detained members of the criminal group, who over the last six months committed numerous thefts from Uzhgorod citizens’ apartments and robberies on the streets.
One of the detainees is an ex-convict who helped his friend to sell stolen items using his "criminal experience".
Law enforcement officers found out that those persons were involved in over a dozen crimes, including the theft of a donation box from a local store, thefts of bikes, purses and handbags of passers-by and other valuables from appartments. Currently, the police have seized some of the physical evidence and are looking for the rest.
The police initiated criminal proceeding over all crimes and are conducting pre-trial investigation. Investigators filed to the court the request to impose on the criminals the pretrial restraint in the form of detention.
