Yesterday, border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment in cooperation with Romanian colleagues prevented an attempt of cigarette smuggling. During the joint measures, border guards detained near the Tisa river a citizen of Ukraine, who was wearing a diving suit and later found four packages of cigarettes.
Another two citizens of Ukraine in diving suits were detained this morning by border guards of the department "Velyky Bychkiv". Having noticed the border guards, the men tried to escape. To detain the violators, the border guards made several warning shots in the air. Officers of the State Border Guard Service drew administrative documents against the detainees.
