The West of Ukraine does not stand apart of the troubles in its turbulent East.
Volunteer organizations are calling to help the city, which is going through hell (but a cold hell!).
Thus, two days ago, the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers announced the collection of things that will be useful both for soldiers and civilians.
"Friends, of course, Avdiyivka! We are collecting gloves, hats, scarves, warm sweaters. Candles, socks, matches. Hoyda st., 8. You can leave it at the entrance!" – the page of the Movement informs.
The NGO "Happy Children" is collecting aid for kids.
They write: "It is painful and horrible… The events in the East once again make us shudder in horror. And join our efforts. We are collecting warm clothing for children of Avdiyivka. We have just three days. The collection is from Friday (February 3) to Sunday evening (February 5) in the house on the Shakhta (Kotlyarevsky st., 59) in Uzhgorod. From 11:00 to 19:00. Avdiyivka is a Ukrainian city, and who but Ukrainians should help to free it completely from the enemy? And it can be done only with warmth… And sincere help.
Tonight, the temperature in Avdiyivka was about 20 degrees below zero.
