From the Austro-Hungarian era to the present day: a writer from Chernivtsi is coming to Uzhgorod (Announcement)

Tomorrow, in the Transcarpathian Regional Library named after F.Potushnyak, there will be the presentation of the novel by a writer from Chernivtsi Maxim Dupeshko "A story worth an entire apple orchard" – a local story with universal content and meanings.

The organizers announce: "In the fates of the characters, every reader will recognize a share or even a significant portion of their own family history. The novel’s chronotope is quite extensive – from the Austro-Hungarian era to the present day" – so the book will be interesting to a wide readership.

In the library in Uzhgorod, they will talk about the novel, how it was created, facts and fiction, and most importantly, about the modern prose in Ukraine and in the world.

Still, the main question that many people are concerned about: Can Ukrainian literature be rid of Ukrainian national issues? This will also be discussed at the meeting with Maxim Dupeshko.

The meeting in Uzhgorod will be held on January 27 at 17.00.
