Comment of Uzhgorod Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv on current events in the City Council

In connection with today’s events in Uzhgorod city council, the mayor Bohdan Andriyiv made a comment: 

– Today, law enforcement officers were conducting investigative actions in several offices of the City Council. I, like probably most of Uzhgorod residents, know what it is all about only from the reports on the official website of regional prosecutor’s office and from journalists, who were at the briefing of the deputy regional prosecutor. I only want to note that I and the City Council were working as usual today, according to the plan, there was a meeting of the executive committee, tomorrow there will be a session of the City Council. I do not know any more details.

Law enforcers were acting within their powers, nobody interfered, no investigation actions were conducted in my office. As far as I know, nobody has yet been notified of being suspected of a crime. We are ready to fully cooperate with law enforcement to establishing objective facts.
