At the city council, there was the meeting of the operational headquarters to respond to severe weather conditions, which included representatives of the city council, utilities, police, state protection and road services.
At the meeting, they made a unified list of available vehicles that can be used for the elimination of possible emergency situations on the roads of the city.
One of the main problems is technical obsolescence and shortage of vehicles. In this regard, the city utilities signed agreements with private entrepreneurs for the use modern road equipment to eliminate snow drifts.
Another problem is narrow streets and sprawling branches of trees on some streets that block the way for special vehicles.
Vehicles parked on the side of the central road for a long time and in violation of the parking rules also obstruct snow plowers. It was suggested to clear the roadway from vehicles after 22.00 to make way for snow plowers.
Representatives of law enforcement will be controlling this process and drawing up reports of administrative offense against parking rules violators and owners of retail outlets that fail to clean up territories around their properties.
