In neighboring Slovakia, an illegal cigarette factory with Ukrainian workers was found (PHOTOS)

In Dunajská Lužná near Bratislava, Slovak customs police found a clandestine factory for cigarette manufacturing, the Mukachevo.net informed.

As a result of the special operation "Panamera", which took place on 21 and 22 of December, nearly 5 million illegal cigarettes were seized. And also, 1.5 tons of tobacco, components for cigarettes making, tapes, adhesives, filters, cigarette paper. The clandestine factory was fully equipped for the production and packaging of cigarettes that are difficult to tell from originals.

The total value of the seized goods, according to preliminary estimates, is 1.35 million euros.

During the operation, three citizens of Ukraine were detained – Eduard K., Mykhailo V. and Ruslan D. At present, they are in pretrial detention, the court will soon decide on their further fate.

If the detainees are found guilty, they face imprisonment of three to eight years.

Recall that the truck with contraband cigarettes recently detained by Slovaks had crossed the border "without cargo" 17 times.
