Uzhgorod city council denies accusations of dishonoring their promise

Due to recent comments in the media by the mother of injured Anita Biley, in which she accused the city authorities and the "UzhAgromix" LLC, which was performing tree cutting, during which the girl was injured, in failure to provide assistance, we consider it necessary to comment on the situation, the press service of Uzhgorod City Council informed.

Since the accident, the head of the "UzhAgromix" Ivan Opalenyk and the enterprise have been covering all costs for treatment of Anita – first in the central city hospital, then in the regional hospital in Uzhgorod, and now in the regional children’s hospital in Mukachevo. According to Ivan Opalenyk, as of now, they have already given 35,000 UAH for medicines, the mother received 12,000 UAH in cash. They have all supporting documents, checks and receipts. On the girl’s birthday, they gave her a tablet.

On the initiative of the Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv, as an exception, since the girl’s mother is not from Uzhgorod, the draft decision on the allocation of 30,000 UAH from the city budget was submitted for consideration at the session. Today, the deputies supported the decision.

The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv will continue to keep the issue of the girl’s treatment under constant control.

Recall that the comment was made after the request of Uzhgorod.in to comment on the victim’s claim that she had been left to deal with the problem basically on her own.
