"Meditation on glass" – the first anniversary exhibition of Uzhgorod artist Victoria Kuzma (born in 1976) – opened on December 16, 2016, in the "Uzhgorod" gallery, – the Transcarpathian Art Development Foundation informs.
The selection concsists of about 30 works, created mostly over the last 5-6 years. Those are works in different genres, such as icons on glass, still lifes and themed works, including Christmas.
The title of the exhibition "Meditations on glass" aptly conveys its mood – the fluidity and smoothness of thoughts and feelings. Based on the traditions of Hutsul and Romanian glass icons, the artist tries to find a new language, new compositions, combines classic forms with elements of modernism. Color saturation coupled with transparency and tonal gradations of glass creates a special charm.
