A Transcarpathian businessman was selling timber with false documents

A private entrepreneur, who has established illegal business for selling timber under forged documents, was exposed in Transcarpathia by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The offender would buy illegal timber, forge shipping documents on a color printer and officially sell the timber to Transcarpathian exporters. He was working with his clients not only directly, but also through an intermediary – an employee of the Chamber of Commerce.

In total, the businessman sold in this way three thousand cubic meters of illegally harvested wood.
The fraudsters were notified of being suspected under Part 3 of Art. 358 (intentional falsification of official documents) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
