Yesterday, there were two attempts to bribe border guards of the Chop detachment at the checkpoint “Uzhgorod”

Active measures for combating corruption among border guards continue to yield positive results.

Thus, yesterday, within the "First International Anti-Corruption Week at the Borders", two attempts to bribe border guards were recorded. At the international automobile checkpoint "Uzhgorod", citizens of Ukraine and Hungary offered border guards cash rewards in amount of 200 and 100 hryvnia. In the two cases, the violators were trying to "solve the issue" of unobstructed border crossing. Border guards refused to take the money.

Border guards reported about these incidents to officers of the National Police. 

The management of the Chop border guard detachment once again appeals to all road users not to violate the laws of Ukraine and not to attempt to get officers of the State Border Guard Service involved in illegal activities by offering bribes for making illegal decisions
