Starting December 11, a new train will be running between Kyiv and Uzhgorod

To ensure convenient travel in the most popular west direction, the Ukrzaliznytsia arranged for another train – number 129 Kyiv – Uzhgorod. The night express will be running throughout the year starting December 11, 2016, with the introduction of the new train schedule. The frequency of plying will be every other day, with the departure from the capital on odd days, and from Uzhgorod – on even days.

The train number 129 will make the first trip from Kyiv on December 11, and from Uzhgorod – on December 12. Departure from the station Kyiv-Passenger at 21:02, arrival to Uzhgorod the next day at 10:02. In the opposite direction, the train departs from Uzhgorod at 22:00 and arrives to Kyiv at 10:58 the next day. The train will be running with stops in Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Ternopil, Lviv and Mukachevo. The new train travels the distance from Kyiv to Uzhgorod in 13 hours, which is nearly 3 hours faster than, for example, the train number 81.The train will include compartment cars.

Tickets for the train are already available at the official online service of the UZ http://booking.uz.gov.ua

Besides this train, trains 81, 99, 13 and 113 regularly run between Kyiv and Uzhgorod.
