The issues about the program of construction of children’s playgrounds and sports grounds in Uzhgorod, sports events calendar, the Center "Sport for All" and swimming lessons for Uzhgorod students were considered today at the regular meeting of Sports and Coordinating Board at Uzhgorod City Council.
In particular, the draft program of construction of children’s playgrounds and sports grounds for 2017-2021 has been formed and posted on the site of Uzhgorod city council. All concerned citizens are invited to join the discussion.
The second issue was the feasibility of the Centre "Sport for All". It was noted that the funds spent for the maintenance of the Center could be used more effectively for the development of sports in Uzhgorod. The objectives set for the Centre have not been met.
Oleksandr Bilak asked representatives of all sports federations, associations, unions to submit schedules of competitions, championships forth next year 2017 in order to coordinate, harmonize them for the convenience of participants.
The head of Sport, Youth and Family Department Nazar Lukiv informed about the procedure for incentive payments for athletes and coaches who have achieved high results in competitions at various levels.
