Officers of Mukachevo Police Department, during the pre-trial investigation into the theft of two manhole covers in the "Cheryomushky" neighborhood, identified the person suspected of committing it. This 48-year-old resident of Mukachevo has been previously repeatedly convicted for committing property crimes.
Also, the police found out that the man was involved in the theft of a bike from the train station. The owner had left the bike unattended for a few minutes to have a coffee in a cafe. That’s when the thief stole it.
The detainee confessed to the crimes. During the preliminary investigation initiated under Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft), the information on possible involvement of the suspect in similar crimes in the city is being checked.
