The NGO "Transcarpathian free media" and the youth NGO "Foundation of Regional Initiatives" announces registration for the training "Active Citizens" by the British Council to be held on 19-20 November, 2016. "Active Citizens" is a program of the British Council for youth in the field of intercultural dialogue and social development.
The project started in 2009 and is being implemented in more than 40 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, South and East Asia.The aim of the project is to promote social changes and ensure sustainable development through the creation and development of a network of young leaders with the involvement of youth organizations that are drivers of reforms in their communities and to provide them with knowledge and skills that will contribute to building of relationships between people on the basis of equality and equal opportunities, respect for diversity, the ability to have a conflict-free dialogue.
During the training, the participants will learn how to write their own social action projects, and then will have the opportunity to submit them for grants from the British Council. The best projects will receive funding of up to 15,000 UAH.
