For several months (the campaign began on June 1), Transcarpathians were actively casting their votes for Khust. Finally, we can catch our breath. According to the vote, the city on Tisa was confidently keeping leading position.And today, good news was announced. The jury also supported Khust.
The awarding of the winners of the "7 Wonders of Ukraine: historical cities and towns" was held in the Great Lavra Belltower of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra.
So, following the Internet voting and expert polling, the Organizing Committee identified the following cities – the winners in the campaing "7 Wonders of Ukraine: historical cities and towns" (in alphabetical order):
- Berdyansk (Zaporizhia region).
- Bila Tserkva (Kyiv region).
- Halych (Ivano-Frankivsk region).
- Dykanka (Poltava region).
- Kaniv (Cherkasy region).
- Nizhyn (Chernihiv region).
- Khust (Transcarpathian region).
In addition, the Organizing Committee identified three special nominations for the cities with significant tourist potential and interest of the local community in the development of their localities. Special nominations went to:
- Berdychiv (Zhytomyr region).
- Zhovkva (Lviv region).
- Terebovlya (Ternopil region).
"In fact, 10 cities are winners of this campaign, as films and various printing products about all of them will be made next year. Thus, information and education campaigns of the tourist appeal of these 10 cities will continue over the next year ", – the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Mykola Tomenko wrote at www.7chudes.in.ua.
