Over the last 24 hours, the total precipitation rate amounted up to 120 mm.
Since the beginning of the flood, it has been 160 mm, which is over 2 monthly norms.
As a result of the precipitation, water levels in the rivers of Transcarpathia continue to rise:
– In the mountainous part of the Tisa river, in the upper and middle tributaries of the Tisa river – by 1-2 m;
– In the Uzh river – by 2.6 m;
– In the Borzhava river in the village of Dovhe – by 1.8 m;
– In the Rika river in the town of Mizhhirya – by 2.0 m;
– In the Latorica river in the city of Mukachevo – by 1.8 m.
As the rain stops soon, maximum water levels will be formed on the rivers. According to forecasts of the Transcarpathian GMC and the modeling complex "DIWA", the biggest rises are expected in the Uzh, the Latorica and tributaries of the Borzhava river.
The threat of flood formation and other potential threats were announced on Friday, November 4. During the flood, the situation was constantly being revised and reported to the authorities and local governments.
Currently, I-III degrees of flood protection were announced. In particular, the III degree – the Uzh river in the town of V, Berezny, the Pinya river in the village of Polyana.
The II degree – the Uzh river in the village of Zhornava, the Turya river in the village of Simer, the village of Turya-Polyana, the Rika river in the town of Mizhhirya.
All 5 inter-district water management departments continue to work around the clock.
Currently, flood waters of the Uzh river have broken onto the highway in the village of Sil in Velyky Berezny district and the road between the railway and the dam in the village of Zarichevo.
Flood situation is under control, preventon work and control of the water management situation continues.
