Today, the Rescue Service "101" was reported about a fire in an outbuilding (summer kitchen) in the village of Onokivtsi in Uzhgorod district. Crews of the 14th and 15th State Fire and Rescue Units consisting of 9 firefighters and two vehicles were immediately sent at the scene.
While fighting the fire, firefighters found in the summer kitchen the body of the owner’s 56-year-old relative. The man was lying on the couch with no signs of life.
The fire destroyed a sofa and household items.
According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by careless handling of fire while smoking in bed. The final cause of the fire and the death of the person will be established by experts.
