Yesterday, in Uzhgorod, a father killed his son

The tragedy happened on November 1, around nine in the evening.

According to the Office of Patrol Police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, the murder happened on Jambul street. At that address, the bloodied body of a man with stab wounds was found. Later, the police found that the victim was a resident of the apartment, and neighbors suggested that his father could be involved in the murder.

The father was detained. He confessed to the crime.

The man confessed to the police that he had killed his son. Also, he told that while drinking alcohol, a quarrel had started between them. 

Then the 56-year-old man grabbed a knife and stabbed his 32-year-old son several times in the chest and in the back. The son even tried to escape from his father and ran into the hallway, where doctors found him dead.

Police officers detained the murderer under Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Investigators initiated criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art.115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate murder). The man faces up to 15 years in prison for killing his son.
