Platinum Bank has repaid over 50% of the NBU loan

In 2016, Platinum Bank has paid more than UAH 220 million in repayment of the NBU loan. In September 2016, the bank has repaid over UAH 30 million, of which more than UAH 25 million was the repayment of the principal amount. Payments are made ahead of the planned schedule of payment.
Platinum Bank debt to the NBU in the amount of UAH 640 million arose during the unstable economic situation in Ukraine in 2014-2015. As of October 2016, the balance is UAH 317 million.
The information about acquisition by the bank of the NBU refinancing loan in the amount of UAH 785 million in August 2016, which is disseminated by some journalists, is not true and is a part of the information campaign to destabilize the bank. During 2016, no funds from the National Bank have been taken.
