In Transcarpathia, border guards detained 13 illegal immigrants

4 Afghan citizens, who intended to illegally cross the state border with seven minors, were stopped this morning by border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment. The information about a group of people moving in the direction of the border near the village of Dyida in Beregovo district came from a local resident. Arriving at the scene, the border guards stopped the foreigners two kilometers from the border. The detainees were carrying no documents, but it turned out that they came from Afghanistan and intended to get to one of the European Union countries with seven minors, the youngest of whom was born in 2013.   Border guards immediately took the travelers to the border unit where they were given warm tea. Currently, all the circumstances of the illegal trip and the circle of people involved in the smuggling of aliens across the border are being established.

Also yesterday, the border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment detained on the outskirts of the village of Hecha in Beregovo district two men with African and East Asian features. During the inspection, it was found out that the foreigners had no IDs. According to the detainees, one of them is a citizen of Sudan and for some time had been living and studying in the city of Kharkiv. The nationality of the other detainee is currently being established as the detainee does not speak any of the European languages. It is likely that the detainee is a citizen of China. The men were delivered to the department of the Border Guard Service for filtration activities and making of necessary administrative documents.
