New students from India have come to Transcarpathia

Yesterday, some media reported about the arrival of a large group of alleged illegal immigrants from India at the railway station in Uzhgorod. Indeed, on October 12, 20 citizens of India arrived to the regional center. They are foreign students, who will study at the Uzhgorod National University, the Faculty of Medicine.

They came to Ukraine with appropriate student visas. The Main Office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region has started the process of issuing to the newly arrived foreign students temporary residence permits in connection with studying in UzhNU.

Currently, 424 foreign students are registered with the Migration Service in Transcarpathia.
