What, where, when on weekend in Transcarpathia (8 – 9 of October)

October 8 – Uzhgorod "Lumberjacks" will compete with the Kyiv team "Bulldogs" for the bronze medals. Also, the final game of the Ukrainian League of American Football will take place. 11:30 – the game for the third place, at 15.00 – the final match (the stadium "Avangard", Uzhgorod).

October 8 – musical theatrical program "100 minutes beyond time." The program includes a musical journey with string quartet, unique ceremonies from Serhiy Dobosz, theatrical costume attraction in the castle with torches, mini buffet. Ticket price is 100 UAH. The beginning is at 20.10 (Palanok castle, Mukachevo).

October 8 – NGO "Happy Kids" organizes classes in the Eco-school for kids. 11.00 to 14.00. Terms of participation – small donations for the development and activities of the organization (Kotlyarevsky st., 59, Uzhgorod).

October 8 – 9 – International conference "Church and society for the preservation of the environment in Eastern Europe: the protection of Creation."                       

October 8 – 9 – Annual International Petanque Tournament "Chestnut 2016". The games begin at 9.00 (Pidzamkovy Park, Uzhgorod).

October 9 – Festival of grapes and wine. During the festival, visitors will be able to learn about the customs and culture of wine-making in our region. The program includes performances by folk groups; tasting and presentation of wines, cheeses and honey. Everyone will have a chance to take part in gathering and pressing of grapes. The beginning is at 12.00 (sanatorium complex "Derenivska Kupil", the village of Nyzhnye Solotvyno, Uzhgorod district).

October 9 – gastronomic festival "Cherna nachanka." The program includes the contest for the best nachanka, concert, wine tasting. Beginning at 14.00 (the village of Cherna, Vynogradiv district).

October 9 – Weekend Music. Concert of the chamber orchestra (director – Honored Artist of Ukraine Vladyslav Yurosh). Soloist – Oksana Kharkhalis (mezzo-soprano). The beginning is at 17.00 (Regional Philharmonic, Uzhgorod).

October 9 – Premiere. Based on C. Perrault’s fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty." The beginning is at 11.00 and 13.00 (Transcarpathian Puppet Theatre "Bavka", Uzhgorod).

October 9 – one of the most famous children’s art collectives of the region "Turyanska Dolina" (artistic director and producer – Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Ivan Pastelyak) will celebrate the 16th anniversary. The beginning is at 16.00 (club of the village of Turyi Remety in Perechyn district).

– Regional exhibition dedicated to the Day of Artist. The works of 125 Transcarpathian artists are presented. Graphic and decorative arts in the "Uzhgorod" gallery (11.00 – 18.00 (Monday – day off) Saturday -11.00 -15.00, Sunday -11.00 – 13.00). Painting and sculpture – in the Transcarpathian Art Museum (10.00 -18.00, Monday – day off) (Uzhgorod).

– Exhibition of paintings by Honored Artist of Ukraine Vlad Gabda titled "Autumn" (art-cafe "Voto" Uzhgorod).

– Retrospective exhibition of Transcarpathian artist Volodymyr Cherepanya titled "Across the river, in the shade of trees" (entrance fee is 20 UAH, for students – 10 UAH) Saturday – 11.00 – 21.00, Sunday – 12.00 – 19.00 (art center "Ilko Gallery").

– Exhibition of paintings "Slice of contemporary art of Transcarpathia". The collection of nearly 70 works by over 30 authors (the atrium of the RSA building, Narodna Square, Uzhgorod).  

– Exhibition of art works by 24 Lviv artists – painters, graphic artists, ceramists, blown glass masters (allery of the castle "Palanok" Mukachevo).

– Exhibition of the famous Slovak photographer Radimir Siklinka. 10.00-18.00 (Transcarpathian Local History Museum,  Uzhgorod).

– Exhibition of art works by Ivan Tokach, exhibition to the Tourism Day "Grapes. Wine. Vynogradiv." 11.00 -15.00 ("Impasto" gallery, Vynogradiv).

– The exhibition "A different angle of urban ordinariness." City through the eyes of the artist Serhiy Malikov (Kyiv) (Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, 10.00-18.00, Tuesday – day off).
