On the orders of the UNESCO Committee for World Natural Heritage, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has sent an expert Kumiko Yoneda (Japan) to the National Park "Enchanted Land" for the purpose of examination of the nominated site of beech forests and old-growth forests for their compliance with the UNESCO World Heritage requirements. This is stated on the Facebook page of the park.

On Sunday, October 2, independent expert of the IUCN Kumiko Yoneda examined the forests of the National Park, and after that met with the local community, scientists and representatives of local authorities.

The decision on the inclusion of the beech forests of the National Park "Enchanted Land" to the World Heritage List will be made in June 2017.
