Yesterday, September 27, an unknown man of Arab appearance came to Beregovo currency exchanger. He asked to change $ 100. When he left, the woman found out that $ 1,400 had disappeared.
The police detained a car "Chevrolet Lachetti" with Kyiv license plates with 4 men of oriental appearance inside. All the detainees were Iranian nationals aged 33-43 years, they came to Kyiv in mid-September.
The police found in the Iranians’ car the money in amount of over 57,000 UAH and large amount of money in different foreign currencies. Specifically, 47,808 US dollars, 6,330 euros, 690 Canadian dollars, 35,000 Russian rubles. And also, more than three million Iranian rials, Indian rupees, Polish zloty, Kazakh tenge.
The Iranians were detained, the issue of a pretrial restraint against them is being decided. Criminal proceeding over this incident has been initiated under Part 2 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (theft committed by a group of persons) and their involvement in other crimes is being checked.
