PADIYUN is decorated with “Blossoming bridge”

In September 2015. the Carpathian Foundation together with its partners launched a large-scale cross-border project titled "Generation 2020", funded by the Norwegian grants and the government of the Slovak Republic within the framework of the Program of cross-border cooperation SK08.

 The purpose of the project is to mobilize young people and contribute to their personal development through support in establishing their own creative initiatives and projects, and to support cooperation and participation of young people in local and regional development.     The target group of the project are young people between 15 and 30 years old, living in our region and Eastern Slovakia, enrolled in schools, institutions of higher education or unemployed. The secondary target group are teachers, artists or industry experts that participate in the project.

The main outcome of the project is the creation of the cross-border youth group, the Carpathian Regional Youth Council, which will pursue the goal of the project in the future. The Fund will continue to support the group and get regional and local partners involved in its activities.   

The project will promote the creation of an innovative platform for young people who are actively involved in public relations, decision-making and their own development. This partner network will be created through the transfer of know-how and best practices of the Youth Council of Barents region, Norway.   

Under the program Generation 2020, the PADIYUN launched the project "Bridge of creativity", which in turn grew into a large-scale Alarm Festival. The first phase of the project called "Blossoming bridge of the PADIYUN" was implemented and presented on September 17. The main goal of this phase was to implement the idea of the creative group of teachers and pupils of the Palace on the landscaping of the bridge in front of the PADIYUN. After several project meetings and discussion of the sketches, the first phase of the interesting project was completed. The flowers, which decorate the bridge, not only raise the mood of the guests of the Palace, but also train aesthetic taste in children and youth.
