Workers are trying to continue construction work near the Drama Theater where big spruce trees were cut down, which outraged Uzhgorod residents.

The arrival of machinery was recorded by Mykola Marchyshak – ATO participant, a public figure.

"Right now, they are digging a pit where a green zone was yesterday. And this is happening in the city center. It is terrible!" – he said.

According to the Deputy Mayor Istvan Tsap, currently the construction is blocked: "The day started actively – with blocking of the attempts to start the construction works near the Drama Theater. Given that in the last days, we have been actively working on the analysis of the situation, now we have a number of draft decisions, which, I hope, will not allow the construction on this land," – the Deputy Mayor said.
