The driver, who hit a young couple to death and fled, will be kept in custody until the trial

Today, the court granted the motion of the Transcarpathian regional prosecution office about imposition of a pre-tial restraint in the form of detention on the driver who hit a young couple and fled from the scene.

This is about the tragic accident that occurred on August 22 near the village of Vylok in Vynogradiv district resulting in the death of a 26-year-old man and a 19-year-old girl. Yesterday, the regional prosecutor’s office notified the man, who had hit a guy and a girl to death and fled the scene, of being suspected of violating traffic safety or vehicle operation rules which led to the death of several persons (Part 3 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
