Unaccounted timber articles at over UAH 1 million were seized in Transcarpathia

In Transcarpathia, officers of the National Police of Ukraine stopped felling of valuable tree species at UAH 1.35 million.

The fact of illegal felling was revealed at one of the branches of a regional agro-forestry farm.

The local Mukachevo prosecutor’s office in Transcarpathian region opened a criminal proceeding over this incident under Part. 2 of Art. 364 (abuse of power or position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions aimed at identification and prosecution of all persons involved in the criminal schemes.
