The unique foundry in Uzhgorod district was included to the list of cultural heritage of the region

During the first plenary meeting of the fourth session of the Regional Council, a special parliamentary inquiry was announced by Ildika Oros.

It was about the inclusion of the Egri Ferenc’s factory for the production of bells in village of Mali Heyevtsi in Uzhgorod district to the List of cultural heritage sites (monument of science and technology) and making provision for its financial support under the Comprehensive program of preservation and use of cultural heritage monuments for 2016-2020.

The largest Ferenc Egri’s bell cast back in 1912 is still being used – the bell weighing 2152 kg and measuring 159 cm in diameter is located in the belfry of the Reformed Church in Debrecen.

In the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life in Uzhgorod, you can also see two big bells cast in 1925 at the Ferenc Egri’s factory for the Reformed community of Dercen village – near the Shelest wooden church.
