Officers of Beregovo Police Department are establishing the circumstances of a fatal accident in the village of Dyida. The investigative team found out that on Arpad street in the village of Dyida in Beregovo district, a 64-year-old cyclist had been hit by a car "GAZ".
Eyewitnesses say that the man on the bike lost control and rode into the oncoming lane, then fell under the wheels of the car. According to preliminary information, the cyclist was drunk.
The driver of the "GAS" was a 31-year-old resident of Beregovo. Law enforcement officers questioned him, checked for the state of intoxication. He was sober.
The vehicle was taken to the impound lot of Beregovo Police Department. The investigation continues.
