In Uzhgorod, a thousand cartridges and a grenade were found in a landfill

Uzhgorod police are finding out the circumstances of detection of 1080 5.45 mm rounds marked "TS-HS" and a grenade "VMG-K."

A resident of Uzhgorod called "102" and said that unknown persons had thrown out ammunition and a grenade at the landfill on Kapushanska street. At the scene, the investigative team found out that the arsenal was hidden in an old car tyre. All 1,080 5.45 mm rounds were packed in a sealed zinc box. The grenade "VMG-K" was nearby.

The dangerous items were removed and sent for analysis.

Transcarpathian police appeal to citizens with a request to never throw away weapon and dispose of it by themselves. This can lead to fatal consequences.
