Uzhgorod tourist route starts from the Castle

The most prominent places in Uzhgorod will be included in the innovative interactive tourist route, Uzhgorod city council informs.

Representatives of one of the mobile operators together with employees of Uzhgorod City Council visited the main locations that will be included in the tourist route.

The route will start from Uzhgorod Castle. It is planned that in total this trip will include about 20 of the most interesting sights of Uzhgorod.

The project is being implemented within the concept Ukraine4all together with local authorities, it aims to promote unique and interesting historical cities of our country through the use of modern information technology.

It is expected that thanks to high speed mobile internet, tourists and the city residents will be able to promptly receive all information about each site on the route.

The route will be laid using arrows and special plates with QR-codes, symbols and numbers of locations. 

By reading the QR-code with a smartphone or tablet, tourists will be able to see pages with a detailed description, photos and videos of the nearest historical or cultural site – square, building, monument. Description of the sights will include links to a detailed city map showing the locations with other QR-codes. In addition to historical reference, it will show interesting stories and legends.
