About 725 tons of humanitarian aid has been imported to Transcarpathia

During the first half of 2016, more than 724 tons of humanitarian aid has been imported to ​​Transcarpathia through the Transcarpathian customs office. According to the statistics of the customs experts, more than 38% of the imported goods were imported from the Netherlands, 25% – from Germany, 12% – from Norway. The share of other importing countries, including Liechtenstein, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Hungary, Denmark, Great Britain, Switzerland, France and the Czech Republic, in the total amount of goods imported into the region ranges from 3.9% to 0.3%.

The most popular categories of the imported goods are clothing, furniture and food. In particular, the largest share of the imported humanitarian aid – 48% (353 tons) – accounts for used clothing, 19% (134 tons) – for furniture, 12% (85 tons) – for food. Linens, tableware, sanitary equipment, baby carriages and bicycles, detergents and personal care products were also imported.
