As of August 1, excise taxes on used and new cars will be aligned

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the law adopted by the Parliament concerning the reduction of excise duty on used cars. Recall that the initiator and co-author of the bill, MP Robert Horvat predicted it a few days ago.

"July 04 will be a remarkable day for our country! After all the twists and turns in the Parliament, today the President of Ukraine has signed the Law!

So, as of August 1, 2016, the tax burden on new and used cars in Ukraine will be equal. This is the only possible decision today. Despite all the criticisms of skeptics about populism, despite all opposition and blocking of the legislative initiative by the car lobby, we have changed the law.

I am proud, because talking and doing are different things! We did it to the surprise of car lobbyists and for the sake of motorists.

I sincerely thank everyone for the support!" – Robert Horvat wrote in a message posted on social networks.
