The restriction for truck traffic is in force

The Office of the patrol police in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo reminds that as of June 1, 2016, the traffic of vehicles with total weight of over 24 tons, with the load of seven or more tons per axle, at temperatures of + 28ºC and above shall be prohibited on all Ukrainian roads of national importance.

According to the press service of the Ukravtodor, the ban will be in force until the end of the summer from 10:00 to 22:00.
Such restrictions for traffic are associated with significant destruction of the road coating under the impact of dynamic loads and high temperatures.

However, patrol policemen working at the post Nyzhni Vorota note that with the introduction of the ban, there is no less work at the checkpoint. If the temperature reaches 28 ° C mark, all the trucks after document check are sent to a special waiting lot in the village of Chynadiyevo in Mukachevo district where they are waiting until 22:00 for the temperature to drop.

We inform you that non-compliance with the above requirement entails liability in accordance with Art. 139 of the Administrative Code, which provides for the imposition of a fine of 340 UAH.
