In Transcarpathia, border guards of the department "Palad-Komarivtsi" of the Chop detachment prevented an attempt of illegal border crossing by a citizen of Ukraine.
Thus, during the patrolling, a border guard patrol using a thermal imaging device detected an unknown person. In order to prevent illegal border crossing, he was arrested. The unknown man had no ID. However, during further checks, it was determined that the person is wanted in connection with hiding from pre-trial investigation for theft.
Currently, the man has been brought to the detention center of the Chop border guard detachment for further clarification of the circumstances.
Interacting bodies were informed about the detention.
