It was due to technical faults on the Ukrainian side, the official website of the Hungarian border agency informs. According to the neighbors, border crossing at the checkpoint "Zahony" stopped on June 16, 2016, at 15.00.
Experts immediately started working to eliminate the problem. The Regional Police Service of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County recommended those who want to get to Ukraine to choose checkpoints "Tiszabecsi" or "Beregsurany."
This information was confirmed to Uzhgorod.in at the regional SFS, but they assured that now the checkpoint is operating normally.
