The third death of a fisherman this year due to careless handling of high-voltage transmission lines has occurred in Transcarpathia, this time – in Irshava.
On Gagarin street, during fishing, a man accidentally touched a power line with a rod. He was struck with electrical shock, as evidenced by a burned carboxylic rod. The body of the victim was taken to the hospital.
Law enforcement officials point out that the number of similar cases is alarming. The police advise to be more careful during fishing, especially in unfamiliar waters.
